First attempt at blogging

Alright. I'm brand new at this and hoping to get better at time goes on. I guess there's really nothing else to say in this post.

Barcelona with Besties

After a night filled with a couple 3 hour naps inturrupted by a baby who wanted to chat with us for an hour in-between, we finally got up to spend the day with some of our best friends from BYU Hawaii; Taylor and Ana Dame! It was SO good to see these wonderful people. Those lucky bums are living in Madrid while Taylor gets his MBA. They get to have an adventure every weekend. Our hotel was just a quick walk from La Sagrada Familia. Because the food in Spain is nothing special (seriously… I tried their "specialty" dish, paella, and it sucked… big time) we headed to our trusted American McDonalds. This is the start of me letting go of food anxiety. We eat mostly a plant based diet. I cringe/make a weird sort of yelling exclamation when people try to put goldfish or candy into my child's mouth or even give her some cows milk. The day I had a baby

Brace yourselves... This is going to be a long one. About 4 weeks before my due date, a friend from church gave me a book about hypnobirthing. If you are planning to give birth naturally, I suggest not trying to cram what would take 9 months to learn into 4 weeks. The book was wonderful. It talks about how birth is a natural, sacred, and beautiful thing. If you are ready to give birth and aren't afraid, there should be no pain. After reading it, I was 100% sure my birth would be a pain free, natural birth. Yeah, my sister and mother said labor was awful but they just don't have as high of a pain tolerance like I did.... Ha. What a silly thought. We had taken a tour of the hospital and my birth plan was all done. We were ready for this baby to come. I had watched dozens of birth videos and cried during every single one. Dog (commonly reffered to as Angel)

At my house lives a Dog.  (named "angel") The thing about Dog is... its hair gets EVERYWHERE. On your clothes, furniture, carpet, floor.... everywhere. It's impossible to completely clean the floor because you turn around and there's always more hair there. Talk about annoying/frustrating/messy. Reasons to not have a dog... they smell, you have to pick up their poop, they shed, you have to bathe them, you have to take them on walks, they bark... loud, you have to feed them, they shed , they lick you after they lick heaven knows what else, and a bunch more reasons.
