Day 1

Last night we arrived in Bangkok. The airplane rides were long but we flew Korean air so we had our own personal tv's with a huge amount of movies to choose from. Korean air is CLASSY! I wish airlines in the states fed us as much as they did.

Because We got in close to midnight last night, 750 baht was the lowest anyone would take us to our hotel on karon beach. It's about 45 min away from the airport so I guess that was reasonable.

We're staying in 30 dollar a night hotel That is probably one of the nicest hotels I've stayed in... Like ever. Free water bottles daily and free breakfast. We love it here.

The 5 min walk from the beach is a plus. There are Thai restaurants everywhere. They have about 4 different shops in a row and then they just repeat themselves. Our favorite is the random Arabs here who literally grab you and just about throw you in to their store to try and get you to buy a cheap suit. The best thing is, they're not even sowing the suit themselves... They leave that to some Asian in a closet who doesn't speak English. Do yourselves a favor and don't get fooled into buying one of these "custom" suits.

The water here is warm. Way warmer than Hawaii. This is a nice  transition before we move to Georgia. In Georgia there are no beaches, or warm Ocean water or endless days of playing in the sun... Just Dan working, and me trying to find some kind of work besides taking orders at McDonald's.

  1. Man...that McDonalds man really makes me miss Asia. And yes! Korean air is REALLY great. I flew on them on my way to Korea! Good luck finding a job in Atlanta.
